Invisible Wounds: Finding Healing Through Faith

When a warrior returns from the battlefield, the physical wounds are often the easiest to treat. It's the invisible wounds — the ones that live in the mind, the heart, and the soul — that can be the most devastating.

Post-traumatic stress, moral injury, survivor's guilt, and deep isolation affect hundreds of thousands of veterans across our nation. Many suffer in silence, believing no one can understand what they've been through. Some turn to substances to numb the pain. Others withdraw from family and community. Tragically, too many take their own lives.

The Weapon That Works

"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." — 2 Corinthians 10:4

At Peacekeepers Foundation, we believe that the most powerful weapon against invisible wounds is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not religion. Not rules. But a living relationship with a God who sees every wound, every scar, and every sleepless night — and who offers real, lasting healing.

Through our Life ReLaunch events, we've watched hardened warriors weep for the first time in years. We've seen men and women who had given up on life discover a new sense of purpose. We've witnessed marriages restored, addictions broken, and communities rebuilt — one warrior at a time.

You Are Not Alone

If you are a veteran struggling with invisible wounds, we want you to know: you are not alone. There is a community of warriors who understand your journey and want to walk alongside you. There is a God who loves you more than you can imagine.
